The 5th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of The Association of Tanzanian Students in Japan (TSJ) and Official Embassy Engagement, 29 December 2025 – 1 January 2026
The Association of Tanzanian Students in Japan (TSJ) successfully held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) from 29 December 2025 to 1 January 2026, bringing together members from different parts of Japan for a period of reflection, dialogue, and community building.
As part of the AGM activities, an official meeting was held on 30 December 2025 at the Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania in Japan. The meeting was honored by the presence of the Guest of Honour, H.E. Ambassador Anderson Mutatembwa, whose participation underscored the importance of unity, leadership, and collective responsibility among Tanzanian students studying in Japan. We were also delighted to have Ms Maria Custodio, a regional manager and representative from Rosper International Company who are pur offila sponsor and partner for the 5th AGM, 2025.
Throughout the AGM, TSJ members had a valuable opportunity to: Review the progress and achievements of the association,
- Openly discuss challenges facing the Tanzanian student community in Japan,
- Share ideas and experiences aimed at strengthening academic, social, and professional support among members, and
- Network and reconnect, reinforcing a sense of belonging and solidarity within the community.
A key highlight of the AGM was the introduction of the newly elected TSJ leadership for the year 2026. The incoming leaders were officially presented to members, marking a smooth transition and reaffirming the association’s commitment to continuity, accountability, and service to its members.
The TSJ AGM and the Embassy engagement collectively reflected the association’s dedication to fostering unity, promoting student welfare, and strengthening collaboration between Tanzanian students and the Tanzanian diplomatic mission in Japan.
TSJ extends sincere appreciation to Hon. Ambassador Anderson Mutatembwa, the Embassy staff, Rosper International Company, and all members who participated and contributed to the success of these important events.
